Second term will start this week!

We officially started our activities at Marianne Center in January 2010.This year consist out of three terms and the first term just ended. In the first term we taught our mentally disabled students about math, language, writing, drawing, sports, gardening, sewing, beads making, cooking and cleaning. The first term ended end of March, after which the students went home for a break. During this break the students tried to put their gained skills into practice. Our staff visited the students at their homes to check if they put their skills into practices and to provide help in case this was needed.

The second term will start this week. During this term we will focus on income generating activities. We will keep animals like rabbits, broilers, layers and pigs. Next to this we will expand our garden activities, our beads making and our sewing activities. With this our students will learn new skills which they can use while working for an employer or while working at their homes.
